Careers Forum For Young Tablelands

Tablelands Regional Council is hosting a Tablelands Careers Forum to connect young Tablelanders (15–24 years) with local employers in the health and social assistance, primary industry and retail sectors.

‘The forum is part of our multi-stage Tablelands Tomorrow program and will improve awareness, create stronger connections, and identify programs and referrals pathways to universities, training, industry and community programs,’ said Mayor Marti.

‘By raising the profile of in-demand skills in our region and connecting them to young Tablelanders, we can provide linkages to jobs, work placements, and volunteer and study opportunities.

‘The forum will be an opportunity to network with employers, industry and training providers to better understand their career, training and employment pathways and for employers/industry to present themselves and their career opportunities,’ said Mayor Marti.

The Tablelands Careers Forum will be 10.00–1.30pm Wednesday 1 March at the Coordination Centre, 15 Vernon Street, Atherton.

This project is funded by the Australian Government’s National Careers Institute (NCI) Partnerships Grant, in which Tablelands Regional Council was one of nine projects selected Australia wide.
