Tablelanders have been super generous this year with the Tablelands Regional Council Mayor’s Christmas Appeal receiving over $6000 in donations.

‘This has been our most successful year and we can’t thank the community enough for their support,’ said Acting Mayor Kevin Cardew.

‘In addition to the generous community donations, several businesses and organisations ran their own campaigns to raise funds.

‘Atherton State High School’s student council organised a free dress day that raised $180 and Atherton Lions Club had a mega meat tray raffle that raised $2000.

‘This is the biggest donation the Lions Club have provided this year and we appreciate their support of our appeal.

‘Alice Street Dental donated $20 from every clean, which totalled a very generous $2500 in donations.

‘QITE also contributed $300.

‘The donations will provide almost 150 vouchers to families and individuals in need this Christmas,’ said Acting Mayor Cardew.
